BACKEND PLAYBOOK

  1. FOH use the Kitchen Quarterback to manage the communication with the customer.
  2. Once the customer has entered basic keywords like
  3. “SERVICE” to get a server to the table
  4. “ORDER” to put an order in, or
  5. “CHECK” to get their check
  6. The Bot executes a HAND OFF off of the conversation to a FOH team member (QUARTERBACK)
  7. This happens by the Tableside Bot  CALLING THE QUARTERBACK WEBSITE DASHBOARD –   the dashboard is web based so it will display on any computer or tablet
  8. When the Quarterback answers, they take over the conversation, and can then send out instructions to the floor staff (“Table 21 needs Napkins, Table 19 needs another round etc”) 
  9. FOH Team member takes the customer request in for the tableside TOUCHDOWN.

    What is Tableside AI?

    Tableside A.I. is a restaurant server bot to help staff serve their customers more efficiently. The two primary features are SERVICE which calls the server to the table and CHECK which senda a request to the Back of House to drop the check to the table

    What is Kitchen Quarterback?

    The backend dashboard that the FOH uses to answer the messages from the customers. The initial messages from the customers are screened by the Tableside A.I. bot before being handed off to the FOH team member to manage on their Kitchen Quarterback dashboard.   

    Do I need an app to use Tableside A.I or Kitchen Quarterback?

    No. Tableside A.I. and Kitchen QB is web based and works from your phone.  Customers do not need to download an app. No username or password to remember, they just scan the QR code or enter the URL and start messaging.

    How many customers can use Tableaide A.I. at one time?

    Restaurants can have up to 25 tables live, chats open siultaneously before they go in a waiting queue.

    I have the Rookie package- what happens if we have more than 5 conversations going?

    Any additional conversations will go in a queue and be sent to the Quarterback when they are available. 

    Can customers pay their check.?

    Not in this version. We are building this feature into 2.0 so stay tuned for that release!  

    Why are there only three keyword features??

    Version 1.0 focuses on three primary pain-points for restaurants. Customers trying to get the attention of the server, make an order and trying to get their check. Tableside A.I.(version 1) is supposed to be a simple solution to server-table delays so we have deliberately architected it to hone in on these two problems first.        

    So this is like a virtual bell for a butler?

    Yes it is. We were going to call the bot Alfred but Batman already had the name.  

    Does this integrate with a POS system?

    No. The basic version is designed to be lightweight and operate without an app, or POS integration. However custom POS integrations can be built. Contact us for a quote.
